Ohtani is a top tier player. He provides extraordinary value to his team by being able to pitch on the mound and hit in the lineup. He did it so well last year on both fronts that he was the unanimous MVP. The last two-way player was Babe Ruth 100 years ago, so that tells you how rare his talent is. Ichiro could not be more different than Ohtani. Ichiro was a slap hitter whereas Ohtani pulls for power. I don’t believe there was ever a better ballplayer than Ichiro. If Ohtani stays healthy, which will be hard for him considering he has twice the workload of the average MLB player, he has a chance to be one of the greatest players to ever live. If you are wondering about Ohtani, all it takes to see just how talented and motivated the kid is, is to watch him play just one time. He has that aura to him that radiates greatness.

Personally, I think his probably in the top ten of current players in the league. Barely.
All time?… GOAT?? ..he’s not even top 1,000 best players all time.. (yet).
